Welcome to Rainbow Preschools, home to five nurturing Essex-based settings in Fyfield, Ongar, Loughton, Highams Park, and Coopersale – Epping, alongside Wraparound Care at Ongar.

We offer flexible early years childcare for children aged 18 months to 5 years (depending on the setting), creating safe, inspiring environments where children can learn, grow, and develop at their own pace.

Our Wraparound Care at Ongar includes Breakfast Club, After-School Club, and Holiday Club for children aged 2 to 10 years, supporting families with trusted, flexible childcare.

Across all settings, our experienced and passionate practitioners provide high-quality care, supporting each child’s all-round development. We are also fully trained to support children with additional needs and safeguarding requirements.

All settings follow the EYFS framework and are Ofsted registered, with a strong focus on learning through play. High adult-to-child ratios and a dedicated key person system ensure every child feels safe, supported, and valued, with settling-in sessions available for a smooth transition.

Children benefit from rich indoor and outdoor environments, including sensory play, role play, water and sand activities, and wildlife exploration, alongside cooking, crafts, sports, yoga, local outings, and seasonal celebrations.

Our Pre-Schools

Fyfield

Our original and founding preschool for children aged 2–5, based at Fyfield Scout Hut, offering a nurturing village environment.

Ongar

A vibrant preschool for children aged 2–5, based at St James Hall in Ongar, where children learn and grow through play.

Loughton

A nurturing preschool for children aged 2–5, based at Kingsley Hall in Loughton, for children to learn, explore, and develop confidence.

Breakfast & Afterschool Club

Flexible childcare for children aged 2–10, based at St James Hall in Ongar, offering breakfast, after-school, and holiday clubs.

Highams Park

A new term-time preschool opening in September 2026 for children aged 2–4 at Handsworth Primary School.

Coopersale

A new preschool opening September 2026 for children aged 18 months – 5 years at Coopersale Institute Hall.
